Brownies


Flour, General purpose 1 pound 6 ounces
Sugar, granulated 2 pounds 12 ounces
Cocoa, 11 ounces
Baking powder, 3/4 ounce
Salt, 1-1/2 Tablespoon
Place all dry ingredients in mixer. Mix at low speed for 1 minute

Shortening, 1 pound 6 ounces
Eggs, 14 eggs
Syrup, blended or corn 1 1/3 cups
Vanilla 1-1/2 Tablespoons
Add ingredients to dry mixture. Mix at low speed for 1 minute.
Scrape down bowl. Mix at medium speed for 2 minutes, or until thoroughly blended.

Spread 2-1/2 quarts on well greased pans. DO NOT PUT WAX LINER ON PAN.

Bake at 315 degrees for 15 minutes.
Check for doneness.
Remove if ready
